My Walk Through Hell

As Chris graced this hill in California in the Spring of 2023, memories flooded him as he thought back to Christmas Eve 2018, when he stood in the exact same spot. He had just hung up with his then wife who informed him she was ending their marriage. Feeling hopeless as he stood glancing at the valley, he remembers seeing the church on his left where his soul could not seek refuge and the 7-11 on his right where he could drown the pain, if only for a short time. He was at a crossroads. The decision he made that day set him on the path to sobriety where he feels hopeful and grateful everyday. Not only did he choose to nourish the soul but he has chosen to help others on their journey to sobriety. He has walked through his own hell and he has helped countless others as they, too, have walked through the hell they have created in thier lives. This is his journey and the life lessons he learned along the way.
